Thoughts from training break

Looks like we're having an easy version of kennel cough. Karu coughed notably only two first days and then get little bit winded and wheezing couple more days, but have not had any symptoms after the weekend.

We have kept him at rest, with the exception of playing with kids and wrestling with my sister. We have done some walkings on a leash with a pieces of Mennään! -training:

• Mennään! -command while staying and if the dog looks at me, Jes! -> piece of frankfurter
• when looks again, Jes! -> pof (if not looking at all, some remark)
• when Karu gets the idea and looks again immediately after eating pof, take one step -> when looks, Jes! + pof
• when eye contact remains while walking, reward irregularly with Jes! + pof
• after a short walk clear permit to sniff again

Goes quite well, even in front of the dogs that keep barking in neighbors yard. In need of some more serious distractions!
